Could all the floating oil/gas/gasoline ignite?
Not that we need anything more to worry about but what about all the oil down there together with gasoline and natural gas....if it floats to the top couldn't it cause a conflagration? Let us pray this does not happen.....

Gasoline certainly could - and I've been concerned about what I've seen in some aerial shots that looked like leakage from underground tanks in gas stations.
Oil would probably be pretty difficult to ignite, but could possibly sustain flames if it really got going. There have been river fires in the past that were mostly oil.

In large concentration, yes, they'll burn. What is more likely is that all of the fuels and chemicals are just adding to the nasty soup that the floodwater is fast-becoming. You've got bodies (human and animals), sewage, chemicals, fuel/gas, foodstuffs, vegetation and on and on. The sun isn't helping. Pretty soon, it will very dangerous to get this on you, much less be splashing around in it.
