Biloxi Casino ?

#1 Postby jjfl » Tue Aug 30, 2005 12:12 pm

I know that the casino industry supports a very high percentage of families in the mississippi gulf coast area. Has anyone heard a report on the status of the casino area??? Many people look to lose there homes, but to lose your job on top of it really sucks! It is really hard to re-build your life with no income.....

Four of five are toast.

Grand Casino Biloxi: Washed across U.S. 90.
Beau Rivage: Standing.
Treasure Bay's pirate ship: Beached.
Hard Rock Casino: Half destroyed.

From the Sun Herald.

They just showed this on MSNBC. Most if not all of the casinos had significant damage. The residential area behind them was flattened. Think Homestead after Andrew.

Very sad.
