Copperheads in Arkansas
Can't find the thread due to a glitch with the search function, but who was it that posted at news article in a thread titled something like "Are they trying to tell us something?" about how the copperhead snakes in Arkansas were hibernating now (two months early) instead of in October when they usually do.
Gotta wonder now. They say nature has a keen sense of danger. I'd believe it.

Actually, as a Christian I believe our house is haunted. Every house my parents have lived in since 1981 has had "activity". Or dog too barks into thin air, our old dog did all the time. In 1997 we got out new dog after the old one passed, and the new one since then does bark atleast 10 sessions a day into thin air. Maybe your house is haunted? Also, my friends birds in Fergus, Ontario all day on August 19, 2005 were acting really hyper and unusual. A 2pm a 1 mile wide tornado narrowly missed the city of 17,000. After the tornado passed, the birds stopped. Wierd.

Sorry don't see the correlation. I have seen alot of pseudo theology around here today. God does not punish his children only disciplines them. To say that God brought hurricane Katrina into New Orleans because of some eschatological or prophetic reason just isn’t so. See the book genesis, specifically the Noah story. The tsunami stories of animals knowing the flood was coming come from anecdotal stories and not good science. I lived through Frances and Jeanne last year and my 2 Aussies, hamster, and goldfish acted perfectly normal as well as my Mother in law's dachshund and beagle. Animals can detect and are more sensitive to barometric changes and temperature. But venomous snakes hibernating 6 weeks early..come on!

I grew up in Orangeville. I have a friend who lives on HWY 24. His dogs were outside all morning that day barking like crazy and pacing up and down the roadside.scostorms wrote: Also, my friends birds in Fergus, Ontario all day on August 19, 2005 were acting really hyper and unusual. * Strange animal behavior
* Devastating Tsunami
* Killer Canes and Typhoons
* The World is at War
* Massive floods across India and China
* Melting Siberian Ice sheilds
* Melting Artic Glaciers
Makes you wonder

First of all, I think you're replying to the wrong person in regards to the "God brought Hurricane Katrina here...." Secondly, NO ONE said anything about eschatalogy. By "future comings," I think scostorms was merely refering to how we get warnings from nature and/or God about impending storms and dangers, not necessarily the end of the world.
And finally, the original post, which I cannot find, was made long before Katrina was any kind of a threat. And yes, it was about copperheads going into seclusion long before they usually do.

I think your misunderstanding the spirit of my post which was in response to the supernatural aspect of Copperheads hibernating early. When most people speak about God warning of impending doom we can only infer they mean the end of the world that's what I was addressing. If we were talking about seagulls and pelicans moving 100 miles inland a day before the storm I would agree. It's a stretch though to say a reptile with a brain the size of pea knew of a storm 100's of miles away and days in advance at that. Let's just say it's silly and we must be a a bit bored to be debating such nonsense.

I wasn't talking about the end. I was talking about what might we face next. If the animals are acting strange, then something could happen. I was thinking like another hurricane, or freak tornado outbreak. I didn't even have the end of the world on my mind, and now yall are ramblin on about my theory.

Thanks for clarifying that. Like I said to lwg8tr, no one said anything about eschatology.
