Gotta laugh, there's way too much bad stuff at home.
I'm 50 miles North of Penasacola, we all got out, thank God.
Justs got a dialup working, so at least I can check in a bit. Of course,
no WATS/GUTS/EATS will be out for some time to come. Sorry, but
that is Katrina's fault.
So like oh so many others, we'll just sit back and wait, there's nothing
more we can do.
My salutes to the Coast Guard guys and gals who are saving lives all
along the coast, as well as local authorities, and military support.
I got a call in back home during the eye. It's bad folks. They said bad wind damage in Diamondhead. surge to I-10 and up local rivers/creeks.
I'll post more as I get it in.
As I stated before, the ocean responds slower than the atmosphere
so the winds were liekly only cat 4, but the surge was no doubt still
a cat 5.
