Carribean islands must keep close eye on Cape Verde system

#1 Postby Vortex » Wed Aug 31, 2005 9:59 am

Indications from guidance suggest the system SW of the Cape Verde islands has the potential to become a significant storm. More importantly the extended synoptic set-up suggests this system would likely impact the Leeward islands and possibly Puerto Rico. Beyond the islands ridging is expected to build along the eastern seaboard over the next 5-10 days which "if" it verifies would keep this storm moving westerly for the some time beyond the islands. We are nearing the peak and it's my feeling this system deserves to be closely monitored......

With all the traffic the board has now it is better to post this at thread about 92L and then we dont have many threads about a system.
