I know I will get flamed for this but could we please keep this forum index about the tropics and not the aftermath of this horrible storm. My suggestion would be to create a new forum to discuss the aftermath of Katrina and recovery.
We still have much to go with this season and its getting difficult to follow current tropical weather trends and comments.
I am in no way trying to downplay this tragedy; I just think the discussion on it would be better served in a separate forum.
Thanks

We are considering making a new forum about the aftermath of Katrina and then leave Talking Tropics to discuss about the tropics and possible new developments.

I think that woudl be a good idea, Luis
we are all concerned about the aftermath of Katrina.
I can't seem to stop watching and reading about it, but I am also concerned about new things coming off the coast of Africa and watching those.
I can't seem to find much new information on those areas.

I made this suggestion as well in an PM.

That is a approiate title for that section. Also create a section for RECON, and future tropical systems. Instead of adding and removing Stickys over and over, just to help the organization of the board.HurriCat wrote:I was thinking that this would be the way to go. Have a forum called AFTERMATH, where we can talk about the obvious, from the current storm to ones in the past. Literally, though, Talkin' Tropics is anything but right now. UNDERSTANDABLE, of course, but we need another place for it.
