We need to plan a meet up reception somewhere the night before, so we all have a chance to socialize before the conference...any idesa anyone?

I ordered the grey T-shirt in 4x just in case it shrinks. I may have to wear it as a night shirt!! :lol:

I was thinking we would go eat after the conference, but you are right about meeting up the night before too. That way we wouldn't waste as much time getting together before the conference in the EARLY AM! We should plan to meet about 15 minutes befor the start of the conference in the foyer of the convention center so we can all sit together. I presume we will know each other by our attire!!! STORM2K ROCKS!!!!!

Who all is coming? I won't be able to meet the evening before....but, if time permits...how about a quick lunch after the conference somewhere? I have to be back at work by 1:00. No time to get S2k shirt.....I'll be wearing a Hawaiian shirt of some sort. jim glock aka galvbay

Ticka, KatDaddy was in Bob's chat last Wednesday. I asked him if he was interested, and it looked like he was, but he didn't say for sure if he'd be there.

Oh, and don't include me just yet. I still don't know for sure if I will be exempt from finals that day. If not, I could always meet after the conference at where ever we plan to eat...

I'm thinking of calling in sick that day so I can come out to the workshop. If I do, I'm going to try to drag my mother along with me. She's the REAL weather buff in the family.

I'm going to try to make it to this. It's south of Houston which would be convenient for me so I could get back to work during the second half of the day.

Right now the plan is to meet up(IMO) at the Pasadena Convention Center at 7:45am :roll:

so we can go in as a group and sit together. Furry, if you know where you will be staying and when you will get here we can try and get together the night before at a location that would be convenient for everyone so we have a little social time previous to meeting in the morning. Maybe one of us will have a Storm2k sign to hold so everyone can find us. Of course there will be a disturbance in the corner when some of us are dragging Ticka our from behind the hurricane map. :lol:

OK, I checked Galveston.org for rooms and we will most likely stay where we stayed 2 weeks ago....I'll run it by Brian and will post if we book it tonight. Can our pre teens attend?

PS We'd arrive on the 27th and hope to get to catch some rays on the beach or poolside....We had an inexpensive meal at "The Spot" with HD, and its in walking distance from the hotel...any bites?
