Women and Children first

#1 Postby gratefulnole » Thu Sep 01, 2005 4:22 pm

They need to evacuate the women and children first and setup a tent city nearby for every able-bodied male. Then have all the men help do all the physical labor that will need to be done such as filling body bags, shoring up levees and tearing down buildings, etc.

??? Why not evacuate the ones that need it most first???? Then the Women and Children, then the guys..

The second portion of your post makes no sense. I'm a man, but as far as I can tell, my wife can work along side me just fine. I didn't know we stepped back into the stone age.

In fact, she has helped durring hurricane cleanup before.
Anyways, glad to see another Tallahassean here :-)

Women and children first is no longer the policy at sea. After the thousands of orphans created by the Titanic disiater, maritime policy changed to allow family units to stay together.

However, this will create an tremondous opportunity to anybody willing to work for a living to pull themselves up and out of poverty. There will be plenty of work, and with temporary housing free of charge, this will allow the crafty individual to stash away a nest egg they can use to better their own life.
