Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 10:30 PM EDT on September 2, 2005

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Maria...centered about 810 miles east-northeast of the
northern Leeward Islands.

Shower activity remains limited in association with the tropical
wave located about midway between Africa and the Lesser Antilles.
Any development of this system during the next day or two is
expected to be slow to occur as it moves westward at about 15 mph.

A large but disorganized area of cloudiness and showers extends from
just south of Bermuda southwestward to the Bahamas. This activity
is associated with a complex...broad...and nearly stationary
surface trough of low pressure. Upper-level winds currently are
not favorable for tropical cyclone development in this area...but
could gradually become somewhat more favorable during the next
couple of days.

The remnant circulation of Tropical Depression Lee is centered about
640 miles east-northeast of Bermuda. Re-development into a
tropical cyclone is not expected.

Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through
Sunday.

I just posted the TWO at the watch for homebrew thread so I will lock this one to not have many threads about one system.
