Rip to Rehnquist :(

Saw it on CNN.com while others are showing reruns i guess?! He died due to complications with Thyroid Cancer.

The president will have to submit a nominee to the Senate. So, we will have the John Robert's confirmation battle, the replacement to Judge Renhquist's battle and the new chief justice appointment battle all going on at once.

Scalia is who many observers expect to be selected.

Brent. me too. :D I suppose it's possible that Justice O'Connor could be asked to stay on and John Roberts fill Judge Rehnquist's shoes because apparently Judge R agreed to stay on so Judge O could retire and be with her husband who is frail.
