For the morning update...disturbed area of weather continues over
the northern Bahamas and will continue to be watched for possible
tropical development. Broad east northeast flow persists across the
peninsula. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop
this afternoon over the peninsula and spread west through the late
afternoon and evening. Slightly higher probability of precipitation across the southern forecast area
in area of deeper tropical moisture. Overall...typical Summer day
with highs around 90 all areas. Current zones are on track with no
updates planned.

I expect the wind forecasts will be increased over the next few days.
Right now there are just gusts to 23 mph forecasted, but I think we'll
see gusts 28-35 mph by mid week.

Well, that's what my dry lawn says,
but I worry this could become a future GOM threat.
