Lots of Stuff Out There

#1 Postby Tampa Bay Hurricane » Mon Sep 05, 2005 10:42 am

Okay I took the "panic" parts out of this thread.
Is it just me or do we actually have 6 systems in the atlantic?
1. SW GOM area of disturbed weather
2. 94L
3. 93L
4. 92L
5. Maria
6. New wave that emerged off Africa yesterday

UNBELIEVABLE!!!
The peak of Hurricane season is living up to its name this year. My take on the barage of systems:Disclaimer etc.
1. Hopefully another Jose.
2. Our closest possible major threat
3. Gets pulled N. by Maria makes TS status.
4. Gets together, but not for a while. A possible Yucatan or GOM threat
5. A fish that might make Cat3 before extropical.
6. 95L maybe Rita by later this week?

Yep... welcome to Labor Day!

Last year on this day, Frances was taking her sweet time to cross Florida and Ivan exploded into a major hurricane by early afternoon(it had just become a Hurricane at 5am).

We're still trying to catch our breath from Katrina the Great. It's almost demoralizing.

Texas doesn't need a storm either, because a lot of people from New Orleans and other areas of Louisiana are here.

I looked at the picture, and that's what it looks like! Its bands are more pronounced on the south side and than on the north side.

Don't worry, the Greek alphabet is pretty long, we're not going to run out of names.

In any case we run out of Greek names, then just start naming like Arlene 2, Bret 2, Cindy 2, and so on!!!!!!

92L is not dead yet. It's still a very discenable tropical wave that may have its chance in the Caribbean Sea.
