I haven't read this forum as much as usual because I've been in the Katrina Aftermath forum a lot and still trying to find some of our missing members.

Don't worry, the Greek alphabet is pretty long, we're not going to run out of names.
In any case we run out of Greek names, then just start naming like Arlene 2, Bret 2, Cindy 2, and so on!!!!!!
Watch out for Omega that could be the Armageddon Cane

I think Hurricane Alpha sounds worse for some reason.

I'm not sure anyone here was suggesting these would be land threats, but areas to watch that could increase the Atlantic name count. Maria is well formed but obviously no threat to land, TD 15 is now up SW of the islands and has a decent chance of being Nate, but probably won't be much threat, 94L has a good chance of developing and probably being the one land threat of all of these. 92L is on hiatus for the time but needs to be watched so nothing is imminent, and the BOC could try to become a Jose type system.
Given the amount of waves/systems out there, even if they don't all develop well or become major land threats, I think its safe to say we are just entering the peak of season right along with the climo norm.
Furthermore, there is no panic in this thread. Just an observation about current activity. Nobody is screaming major hurricane to the United States in this thread.

I am curious why you think the season will end early. This is not a bash, just curiosity. I would think the season will run longer for the same reason it started earlier... because the SST's were higher then normal, which makes me think they will take longer to drop back down. But my thinking may be off....
Edit: lemme clarify earlier to mean busier earlier in the season then the norm.

Hurricane Alpha would have that "Biblical" ring to it. The Alpha and Omega, first and last is he.
That just seems to odd, I just get the feeling it would be some massive hurricane like "The Alpha" (the beginning... beginning of what!.
I don't know how to explain it, but I am pretty sure everyone see's the point.

94L will probably be a weak tropical depression, and bring T-storms to Florida as usual. The others are not a threat to land, in all likelihood. As regards peak of the season, it is far more staistically likely that we are a month ahead of schedule in both beginning and ending the season. Greek alphabet storms are -removed-, and extremely unlikely. Figure it will be like 1995, and stop getting folks agitated for no reason. Some people read the threads and freak out with extreme reactions, when they aren't called for>
We had our disaster for 2005, and her name was Katrina.

What evidence do you have to support this?
Uh...6 systems in the Atlantic sounds like issues.
