I couldn't agree more.
Especially when the media puts their shake in 'Killer Kat', 'Ivan the Terrible', et.al.
And the confusion it causes, (EXAMPLE: "Do you mean Hurricane Gustav in 1978 or TS Gustav in 1986 or Hurricane Gustav in 1995, or TS Gustav in 2004, etc)

STOP THE INSANITY!

IMHO they should do away with the names altogether.
Give it year - letter designation (example: 2005-K) and stop anthropomorphizing storms.

Go look up why they name storms, thanks.

Arlene has already been used 10 times in the Atlantic and Beryl has been used six times. They need to do some damn destruction and leave so names like Ashley and Brittany can debut.

Nailed it, Ry! I am sick of Humberto, almost all of 2015. The 2015 names (except Claudette, Joaquin and Odette and Danny and Erika) are SOOOOO BORING they need to make way for cooler names like Bon'Quisha.
