Katrina Poster 100% net Profit will go to American Red Cross

#1 Postby VanceWxMan » Mon Sep 05, 2005 4:20 pm

I have designed a Hurricane Katrina Poster that is 17" x 11"
This poster looks like this
Image
You can purchase this poster by going HERE

If you buy anything from the store PLEASE let it be this!
ALL PROFITS WILL GO TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS!

This equates to $5.01 from EVERY POSTER SOLD will go to help in the relief efforts of Hurricane Katrina! (cost of $4.99 to make each poster)

Thank you for helping!
Aaron

You say 100% sales will go to Red Cross. The posters are $10, yet you say in your post that $5 will to Red Cross. Then when you clink on the link it says 20% of all sales in this store will go towards the Red Cross.

Something aint adding up, homie.

before I had 20% of all the stores merchandise going to the Red Cross.. Today I made the poster and will donate 100% of all of it's sales to the Red Cross ON TOP of the 20% of what the store brings in. Sorry for the misunderstanding..Again 20% of the ENTIRE STORE will go to the Red Cross as well.

As for the $5 that is true the posters cost 4.99 to make so in all respects $5.01 from EVERY POSTER will go to the American Red Cross.

BTW I will modify the top of the store.. thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Look, there are far too many scammers out there and i'm not going to take any chances. The mere thought of someone trying to profit off of this hurricane disgusts me.

BTW, I don't care WHO you are, i'm not falling for that ish. :x

PS, I am not being sarcastic.

You need to change the subject header. It's misleading. 50% of your sales are going to the Red Cross, not 100%. What you want to say is 100% of NET profit will go to the Red Cross.

I respect that you have good intentions. However, that poster isn't worth $5, let alone $10. Downloading a MODIS image and slapping ugly-font text over it doesn't exactly a great poster make. Instead, I'm going to give all $10 to the Red Cross. Somehow I think that they'll be able to do more with that $5 than I would with that poster.

100% of a $10 sale is $10.

100% of all PROFITS profit from each poster ='s $5.01. There is a cost to make these posters.

It's ok guys I understand that you think I am a lier and a cheat.. no worries.. I have PMed Chad have given him the opportunity to support this endeavor..I have also offered to open my transactions page to him to keep me HONEST (as you all seem to keep pointing out)

No worries.. my heart is in the right place whether you think so or not.

the key word here guys is profits- profit is what you have left over after your expenses.

Vance has nothing but good in his heart here. I think it is very generous - he isn't charging for his laabor - just the cost of running the posters.

It is a very high resolution 250mm shot of Katrina in a Cat 5 status.
No one is saying that you have to buy one.. I am only setting it up so that you can have something (a token) to keep as well as help send a donation to the American Red Cross.
I am sure that the Red Cross will appreciate your donation Windy!

I never meant any harm and it seems that ever since I posted this.. a flame war has ensued? I did not want to upset anyone? I just want to help.
