All I know is I am getting nervous. I went to bed on purpose before the 11pm NHC predictions came out and woke up at 5 because I couldn't sleep.
Now it looks like it is coming pretty much over my house.

I wouldn't get nervous just yet, but I would pay attention and make sure you have your hurricane kit ect......just in case. These hurricanes tend to be a bit fickle lately and just cannot make up their mind.
We are actually getting some wind here, how bout there??

GFS trended a little to the Left showing a SW movement to begin soon then turning North into Charleston SC. This makes more sense to me considering this steering map and the big High pressure in Missouri.

Little wind here. The sky was absolutely beautiful when I went out to get the paper. The sun is just starting to rise and the sky is so blue.

Kris: No need to panic. Thankfully Ophelia has been battling some pretty unhealthy conditions, which have kept her from developing. Unless you're sitting next to Shem Creek or something, you'll be fine. Put together your supplies, check the latest track and enjoy the Clemson-Marylnd (or USC-JawJaw) game, depending on your loyalties.

Hey KrisJ
I am in Mt. Pleasant, too!
Like you, I woke up at 5 to check the latest on Ophelia.
Let's just hope Rob Fowler's Viper is right...wish everyone would wake up and give us some updates!

I've been so swamped with kids/school/work I just realized I don't even have my kit ready. I guess I'll have to go brave the sea of people that will be hitting costco today.

We still have a nice breeze kicking here.(about 20 mph giveor take) but sun is shining.Just had a bunch of new trees planted and they aren't taking it well so far. Going to check out the surf in a bit, it should be prime.

Yeah, it was pretty breezy this morning, and made it a bit difficult to get the papers into the machines without them blowing away. I guess I will head out to the store to grab a few things in case we lose electricity if and when this thing heads this way.

Hi dtwilkin!

I'm starting to think it will be way north. I am less nervous now than I was this morning.

Still wish we knew for sure.
