Great news that Ixolib is safe! I've gotten really good at typing his name out! I'm sitting right here trembling, eyes tearing up, taking deep breaths. Gosh, our members have really been blessed and we've been blessed also.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear they're safe! Now, who was asking about hospitals in Biloxi? Who was that for? Have they been accounted for? I spoke with another teacher at school who's brother works at Biloxi Regional. She said the hospital is fine and running pretty much as usual. If that helps anyone...??

That was for Kami (MSCoast), who is a nurse. I spoke to her earlier this week and she is safe! :)

Thanks Lori. It's actually supposed to be T-man. I corrected it in the first post and moved him from the Mississippi list to the Louisiana list. I also added the others.

I hope we hear from more of our members soon. There's a lot of empty spaces waiting on the "safe" note. :(

If anyone sees someone from the list on the board or talks to them some other way, please reply here. I don't have contact numbers for the remaining members.

So sorry to hear about your home mikeymike, but thank God you're ok!! With this devastating storm, the ones who made it out alive are the lucky ones.

What a monster.

I've been gone from home and computer for 2 days and just got back - had to check just this topic tonight to see if more members found. Thank God, prayers answered! Now I can go rest and catch up tomorrow.

Mike:

Welcome back. I am so sorry for the loss of your home (twice) but glad that you are safe. That is the most important but I don't envy anyone in the path of Katrina who has to rebuild their lives, many times from scratch. Hopefully, many members who have not experienced such a storm will benefit from the plight of those affected by Katrina and develop a healthy respect for the tropics.

Stay well, my friends and know we are here for you. If any of you have really good ideas on how we can help-organiztions that have been particulary helpful, groups accepting clothing, food and personal care products, please PM me. I started to rant about some of the relief organizations but I think I'll start another thread as this is a welcome back one.

Remembering the victims of 9/11 as well.
