Saw on local news that a high is building in over the SE and will bring great wx to florida. No mention of the wave out there which is now on the northern edge of Puerto Rico.
I saw it mentioned in the tropical discussion where they said that the upper high was masking the waves signature on satellite but that doesn't say much to me about future development or direction.
1. Will the high affect its development at all?
2. Whether it develops or not...will the high extend far enough
south to keep it away from SFL?
Will the Southern High keep the Puerto Rico Wave away?

Doesn't seem to be much of a high ...
I'm not impressed with this blob, although I'm watching it. TAFB puts the wave axis out ahead of the convection, although I can't really see a sattelite signature for the axis at all - very weak if it's there.
There does seem to be a little something happening in the mid-level up at the northern end of the convection, around 22.5N 67.8W. Probably just a transient feature, though.
