Christy - I see you may not have been around long enough to know the significance of the bear - - -

We do a lot of "Bear Watching" around here . . . .

It's a smile maker. that's all.

Agreed, Mattie. It's just a nice, smile-making input and a good figure of speech when describing monitoring tropical systems. The famous "bear watching"... that's all. Just a way of describing the phrase.

Shear is still persistent in Florida and the Bahamas; however, that area of increasing shear is shrinking in size. Also, there is decreasing shear over the wave. Although conditions ahead of the wave are not quite favorable, if this trend continues, things may gradually become more interesting (although it already needs to be watched).

I dont tend to make dramatic conclusions based on one particular model but I dont like what the CMC has for Florida.

In order for that to happen, the ULL and trough need to move and split for the shear to decrease. We may be seeing that slowly happening now, since the area of increasing shear now appears to be shrinking.

Didn't the CMC consistently place Katrina-to-be in the Central Gulf when it was still ex-10/12/blob??

Go to the image you want, right click and pick "Copy Image Location" (or what ever your browser says), then come back here, click the IMG button at the top, paste what ever you copied, and click the IMG again to end it.

Actually, doesn't it show 95L heading NW? ...while the other disturbance is approaching south Fl?
