Although Katrina is making all the headlines (and very deservedly so) keep in mind there are people in the Pensacola area who are still essentially homeless and financially ruined 1 year after Ivan and 3 months after Dennis. While these storms were not as overall catastrophic as Katrina their effects are long lasting. Please keep these folks in mind as well. Thanks

people like to talk about the worst case scenario for N.O its being underwater with nothing but lumber on top floating around. The real worst case scenario on a personal note is losing your home it doesn't matter if its flooded, pile of lumber, concrete slab you lost your home its beyond repair thats the worst case scenario.I read that special, those folks are going through trauma like never before for the folks in mississippi its even worse.there is nothing left but the foundation.
