Not a surprise...

Every here people on this board and others come on (likely to troll) and proclaim the season is over in every possible way, whether its for the entire basin or a specfic region of development.

It happened last year before the "big 4", and it happened this year before Katrina, and even after Katrina. As per usual, they were wrong.

Which is why I always ignore those posts. Usually, there only there to aggravate us and start an argument, which they usually do.

Must be a storm a brewin' cause I am doing my laundry like crazy... Always happens when a storm is about to be named. It is my fear of losing power for 6 days (after Charley) and not having enough clothes clean to evac the family if needed!

I see some more respected posters had proclaimed the season over as well. I take back that "troll" comment for those members. Everybody is wrong at some point!

Still, there were some who did post such information for above said purpose in all likelyhood.

LOL, you got me there.

I read, but hardly ever reply, is what I should have said. If I were to reply to them, some of my words wouldn't be suitable for this board anyway!

Ain't getting to the Greek alphabet garbage, but 2-3 more hurricanes is a definite possibility. Figure it will be very much like 1995, with 18-19 total storms, 8-9 canes, and possibly another major. Remember, there was a very early start to the season, and we've hit the peak. There may be an abrupt shutdown in October, much as last year, when things stopped abruptly after a ton of activity.
