Jefferson Parish(Westbank)

#1 Postby TS Zack » Sat Sep 17, 2005 9:35 am

Hey Everyone!

I am back home safely in Harvey, La. I have been evacuated for the past 3 weeks in Arkansas.

I came back to pretty much shock and awe of what has happened. This isn't something that happens to New Orleans, you only see it occur in Florida where Hurricanes always hit. Seeing this in person is just unbelievable.

Here are some pictures of the Westbank and my house. Also, pictures of my evacuated home in Arkansas.

It is good to be back but the clean-up is just beginning. Plus, normal life is far from New Orleans at this point.[/url]

Welcome back, Zack
You are very lucky to be back "home". I live in St Bernard and there is nothing left. The entire parish went under. They said we won't be able to live there again until maybe next summer. My life will never be the same again. Lots of tears and adjusting right now. Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be this bad. But it was and it is.
Can't get any help from Red Cross at all. Nothing. UGHHH!!! because you can't get thru to them!!! This is a living nightmare!!!

Welcome back, friend! I am scheduled to return to Uptown, around Louisiana and St. Charles Avenues on Wednesday. Have you heard anything about power in these areas? Thanks. And glad to see you are safe!!!

Hi Zack, welcome back! We've missed you and have been concerned for you, but glad to hear you are home safely. :)

As for Bonnie, BIG HUGS! Sorry to hear about your losses. But you're still alive, that's the good part. We will get through this.

Your fellow Katrina survivor, Danielle

P.S. Where are you currently located?

I was in Laplace today. You didn't happen to be in Walmart today by any chance eh? Seems like everybody else was.

We will get through this.

I am in Harvey......

Uptown may have some power but from what I see only 18% of Orleans Parish has power. Jefferson has now hit 90%.
