When you see army guys at your Walmart...

...then you know things aren't normal. I just came from my Walmart, and while it usually is a very busy store, I had never seen it so busy, even during the Christmas rush. Not to mention, on my way in there I caught those guys going in. There were about twenty of them, some of them with machine guns attached to their backs.

I ran into a lady from Chalmette (St. Bernard Parish) who lost everything. She reached out and gave me a hug. She was crying. I had to remind her that she was still alive. I wish I had a pic of her but I was so busy taking pics of those army guys (LOL) that I ran out of space in my camera

After Ivan hit I remember seeing MPs all over the place. It was kind of scary but a relief knowing that they were there protecting us.

But our military down here were armed. I guess that is why it scared me a bit. Not that I was going to do anything.
