About Gavelston

#1 Postby AZS » Sun Sep 18, 2005 6:01 pm

First of all this is my first post :)

I´am from the Azores Islands, Portugal, and i am related with the cruise industry here.

My question is:

Could Gavelston be at risk with " RITA " ????
Could a CAT 2 or 3 cause extensive damage ???

We have some departures from there for 2006.

Thanks...

At this momemt, anyplace on the gulf is at risk. However, the modles are showing a south texas/mex. hit. which is also along the same lines of my unprofessional thinking. Just keep your eyes open and watch cautiously.

The models were inputed with a diffrent center. If im correct the new center is forther north. Also we should expect many flip flops in these models. We are still very far out. Remeber at 7 am the models were pointed to Galveston?
