Impressive! An eye is in its formative stages right now!

The circulation must be pretty tight for an eye to form with 1004mb. That's why I wrote earlier today that it was so hard to dismiss a system passing over this area of the Atlantic Ocean!

Rita is making the run tonight for significant strengthening. It could become a hurricane by early tomorrow as deep convection is beginning to deepen SIGNIFICANTLY in a very organized manner...

I am over here on the sw coast keeping a close watch on Rita.... She's pulling all the tricks. I expect a Cat 1 by 11am tomorrow.
