Graph updated with the addition of Stan. After almost two weeks with no activity (and falling behind 1933 for one day), the two years are now even.
I had to make the graph a bit narrower since it appears the board is resizing images now. Does anyone know more about this? It looks like the limit for width before the board shrinks it down (which makes them look terrible, BTW) is between 500 and 550 pixels. I tried searching the posts here for more information but couldn't find any.

Look how this season is WAY ahead of normal. If this keeps going up through first half of August, there will be NO doubt in my mind, that this one will be a record-breaking season (named storms, hurricanes, major hurricanes).
FWIW, as bad as 2004 was, 2005 will probably not compare...
