* DCF offices in Monroe and Dade
* Broward (tomorrow), Monroe schools (Archdiocese schools will follow public schools)
* Broward schools after school activities after 7pm tonight
*Univ. of Miami closing today at noon and closed tomorrow, including all affiliate schools
*MetroZoo closing today at noon
* Miami-Dade County schools will be closed tomorrow
* Shelters will be opening today in Dade County at 6pm
* Miami County courts closing at noon today and closed tomorrow
* Biscayne Natl Park closing today at noon
* Dade County libraries closing at noon today
* Port of Miami and Miami River closing for marine traffic at 3pm
* Westminister Christian closing immediately - go pick up your children ASAP
* Broward will have shelters opening up at 6pm tonight
* Trash recycling centers open till 7pm
* Flood watch now in effect for Monroe and Dade counties

All county and most municipal offices are to close at noon Monday. City of Key West offices are closed all day Monday.
Key West and Florida Keys Marathon Airports should remain operational through early Monday evening, airport officials said.

COUNTY ACTIONS:
Monroe-
• Monroe County EOC full activation at 7:00 AM this date.
• Monroe County began mandatory Category 3 evacuations for persons from 7 mile bridge southward.
• Mandatory evacuation of the upper Keys for vulnerable populations in low lying areas, non-residents, boat residents, mobile homes, and structurally unsound homes.
• Special Needs Shelter opened, evacuations to FIU at noon this date.
• Medi-evac and busses will be used to move special needs patients.
• Schools closed until 9/21/05.
• Monroe County Government offices will close at 12 (noon) tomorrow (9/19/05) will remain closed until Wednesday.
• Tolls (north bound only) have been lifted on Card Sound Road and north of Miami.
• Traffic counters activated throughout southern Florida.
• C-130 from the N.C. Air National Guard will transport patients from the Lower Keys Medical center to Highlands County.

• Mandatory evacuation of Low Lying Areas, and Unsafe structures
• Anticipate a voluntary evacuation for Zone A beginning at 6:00PM this date.
• Two shelters open at 6pm.
• Fuel supplies are in good shape in throughout south Florida.

Link please...........We have many Broward parents here in the office and if Broward schools are closed they need to make other arrangements or maybe not come to work.

Sun Sentinel has a listing of Rita-related closings (see link) but there isn't anything for Broward listed yet.

No, emperor, not yet. There's a press conference at about noon in Miami-Dade though, and I'm sure they'll announce all the major stuff then. Our local CBS 4 has live streaming coverage on their site http://www.cbs4.com so they should show it.

CBS4 just announced that all Miami-Dade and Broward county schools wil be closed tomorrow.

University of Miami closing at noon today (all campuses).

Already had it up there:

What about Palm Beach County schools? Will they be closed? The tropical storm warning has now been extended from Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach north to Jupiter Inlet.

By the way, there is too much emphasis on FCAT.

No decision yet for Collier Schools. School may be cancelled or let out early tomorrow. Parents have been advised to check the website http://collier.k12.fl.us/ or evening news for updates.
