Dry Air Question

I'm sure this has been answered, but I couldn't find a thread with it so I'll just ask. I've noticed over the past 2 days or so, the dryest air in the GOM has moved into the western gulf. Is the moist air expected to continue to filter into the entire gulf, or is the dry expected to set up over the west preventing Rita from further intensification? I'm no pro, but it looks from water vapor loops that the moist/less dry air is coming from the north and of course the east. Also didn't know if that tropical air from the Caribbean could make its way into the gulf.

I'm no expert, but it does appear the dry air is moving out faster than expected. It certainly won't hamper Rita's development if it continues to move out like it is now.

From the water vapor loops, it looks like a steady stream of moisture moving into the U.S. southwest, then across the southern plains, and looping to the south over central Tenn, n. Miss, and n. Al. Then it takes a turn to the west/southwest across the gulf. I wasn't sure about the forcast in the eastern pacific for the and west and southwest U.S. concerning the air movement across the states 3-5 days out.
