Here in Homestead we've had a pretty steady 17mph or so wind all day. Haven't had a rain shower yet, but it's gotten overcast.

Canelaw, tell me if Hector is keeping El Toro Taco open for tommorow. I am suppose to be down there to pick up some plants. I better call the nursery, now that I think about it, there probably laying all the plants down as we speak. Keep us informed. I know the Last Chance will not shut it's doors.

I haven't heard, but I would think he's closing it. There's a possibility that we'll get pretty strong sustained winds if this thing tracks through the mid Keys, so I would bet they're closing. He's closed today because it's Monday too :(

Yeh, you are right Canelaw about closing today. We were down there last weekend and saw that he shuts down on Mon. We love Hector, infact last year while Frances was in the picture, he had us over to the house to eat seeing that he shut down. Couldnt believe the nursery damage and debris we saw on Krome from Katrina. Everyone I spoke to said most were caught with thier pants down. It was that way all the way to KW. There are still piles of debris down there that are gonna get launched by Rita. Hope you all fare well. Cant wait till Nov. for Race Week, but judging from what has happened so far, we will still be looking down to the NW Carib. for a threat.

About the same in Boynton Beach. I have a feeling we will get more weather with this storm then when Katrina passed by. This is already about what we had with Kat.
