5-5-5 Deal

#1 Postby quandary » Tue Sep 20, 2005 11:05 am

This season's activity has been spread out very evenly, which is strange.

2004 0-0-8-5-2-1
2005 2-5-5-5-?-?

Of course, more storms may yet form in the last week and a half of September, especially with the wet MJO yet to move in.

Will October bring 5 storms too?

Also, July had 3 TS and 2 high end Cat 4 Canes.
August had 2 canes, with one being Katrina, a strong Cat 5.
September has had 5 hurricanes. 1 major so far with 1 more major likely.

Just some weird facts. What's the record for most hurricanes (not TS) in a month?

That reminds me of that commercial with Jessica Simpson. "Buffaloes really do have wings!"

Back on topic, though, you've got to believe that we'll keep at the same pace. The tropics really haven't showed any signs of shutting down. I'm still holding on to the belief that we'll get to Delta or beyond.
