Not to be melodramatic, but man this is really like a bad dream here in se texas. Just went to gas up and lines were 6 deep closing in on midnight at a wal-mart in nw houston. bottled water basically sold out. talking about gas shortages on galveston island. can't believe this is really happening. Guess it's time to get over it and deal with it.
later
Almost like Twilight Zone Here in SE TX

I will be praying that this isn't as bad as I fear.
Stay safe and if you're in the path... LEAVE!
I remember the morning before Kat hit, it felt just the same way. Like an episode of the Twilight Zone. There was mass panic everywhere in the neighborhood once they realized there was a hurricane warning and mandatory evacuations were ordered.

God Bless those in harms way of this diabolical monster, evcuate if you can!!! For those in the cone stock up really well. Relief is overstressed and may be in short supply at first. The usually 3 days of food and water may not be enough until help arrives, especially those in small towns or rural communities. Please be safe and dont try to ride it out if you have someplace else you can go.... My prayers are with you all!!!

Hard to believe our number may be up.
My thoughts are with you all. It is a horrible feeling to know a hurricane may be headed toward you. I was hit by 2 last year in 3 weeks and thought I lived in the twilight zone

I felt this same anxiety with Allen...but I'm not seeing how we can dodge the bullet this time. The look of resignment in the eyes of those in the grocery check-out with me this evening was chilling.
I just got back from helping a Chalmette LA refinery reestablish a communications link...and now here our own home clients may be in the same situation. Surreal is certainly the operable word...

We certainly can hope and pray that she will. The very bad news is it doesn't look like superman is on his way to save the day.
Just be ready, and deal with the hand you are dealt. It could be a very rough ride.
