Galveston Webcams

It's weird enough seeing your hometown on FoxNews.com. Even stranger coming to post webcam shots of your own hometown.

(Probably won't work Friday evening on, but worth peeking at now. The Strand sure looks weird, even early in the AM, so deserted and bare.)

(These aren't too interesting in the dark, but when day breaks and throughout Wednesday, they ought to be worth checking out.)

(Don't appear to be updating today, but maybe they'll be up again later.)

Anybody into archiving images (not just satellite pics, but news pics and cam captures)? If you are, could you save a cyber-scrapbook of stuff for me? Also, even if you're not someone who is saving a lot of info, but you catch something interesting, could you save it and email it to me later (not yet because I'm afraid my Yahoo capacity might get too full before I can open everything and save the files, then delete the email). I'm sure it will be difficult to catch up on all the threads and posts after this is over and I don't want to miss anything.

Weird -- I want to remember this??????
