I don't know if I buy it... but I think it's closer to 914 than it is to 948...

Scary but I agree, even if it is at 930mb it will the destroy the record of fastest intensifiying cane ever in the GOM or Atlantic cane season since tech. invented to measure pressure existed.

I am not on the Island, I am on the mainland between houston and galveston. I am still in a big, big debate on if I am going to leave, mainly because the path is towards corpus. As far as bags and animals I am packed and ready to leave.

Wow, so your the one with the flux capacitor. You know that thing that makes time travel possible. Corpus has the 2nd highest % according to NHC strike possibilities. And models have shifted south since that advisory.

What makes you think she is slowing? But you are right, the models are clustered around Matagorda. Will they trend slightly South or North is the question and makes a hell of a difference for the Houston Metro Area.

Leave and don't think twice.

Remember Punta Gorda last year??? They thought they were in the clear and look at what happened.

Rememeber Pascagoula THIS year - well removed from the center??

The I-45 corridor south of 610 is about to be demolished. DO NOT STAY.

I guess there is a possiblity that she could stay south since she's moving ever so slightly south of due west right now. I wonder if the high will persist longer than forecasted. That would be outstanding for Houston, but suck for Brownsville or even Corpus Christi.
