The matrix reloaded made $93 millon but short from spiderman

#1 Postby cycloneye » Fri May 16, 2003 1:02 pm

Will it get record $$$$$$ this weekend at the open of it well maybe but maybe not because it has the restriction of 18 or younger must be with an adult to see it and then for that reason it may not get the $$$$$ that they think it will gross.I will see it here in Puerto Rico next week as it is released 1 week later than in the US.

It's definitely one of the most eagerly awaited releases in quite some time. It'll be big!
We'll see it in a couple weeks after the crowds let up some. :D

The third Matrix movie is schedule for release in November... will be under six months after the one that just started today.

Any other movie sequels released about six months apart in the past?

Have not seen the movie yet!!! Cant wait to do that. My hubby just got the PS2 Matrix game.. really nice graphics... hey how else can I dodge bullets and do summersaults up the walls? Well I could always just go home to dodge bullets, but I will have to work on the summersault thing... hey maybe if I get me one of those leather coats and boots it will help

JQ, I got your question right after you posted it... was going to answer it sooner, sorry for not doing so.....

It can be easily known by some how quickly sequels are released. We know that the second Matrix movie started yesterday (Friday, May 16th) and it was already announced, recently, before yesterday's release that the third Matrix movie will be out in November of this year.

I guess my question was more of a rhetorical one. I just didn't see the point in keeping track of the time frame btw movies are released and their sequals are released. And you don't have to apologize for getting to my "question" late...this board is hear so that we can post at our leisure :)

I understand that JQ... my main point was saying that I could of easily responded to it minutes after reading it.

I am not saying people keep track of when sequels to movies come out. It is one of those things that people may know about. I assume it is the quickest amount of time between releases.

It came short from Spiderman as the best $$$$$$$$$ maker in the first weekend as Spiderman grossed $115 millon in the first weekend and this sequel made $93 millon.

Well....I saw the movie and it was great!! There were a few "filler" scenes that I sorta drifted away but, over all it's full of the things I like....special effects! Watch out for #3!! :38:
