Yeah it's a message board... you can say whatever you want. Just like a chat room.

Two question marks coming from someone notorious for opening spurious threads is not a big shocker!! (I'll see your 2 question marks and raise you 2 exclamation points!!)

My point is...don't open a new thread to ask a question that could easily be asked in the appropriate thread...or else we'll have thousands of threads with single questions and one word answers:

Thread 1: When do the new models come out?
12 noon

Thread 2:How strong are the winds?
140mph

Thread 3:When is landfall predicted?
Saturday

Etc etc

The only thing that is rude is telling someone else he is rude. I checked with Miss Manners and she agrees. :D

Sure. Ill try. the 12Z GFDL should have come out already and should be updated on the model map within 10-15 minutes or so. I believe the 12Z GFS has also updated. The UKMET should also be updated on the model site with t GFDL in a few minutes. Check the link below and keep clicking refresh when the local time gets closer to 2pm eastern time.

<RICKY>

http://weather.net-waves.com/modelplot.htm

P.S- You can see the other global models outside the GFDL and UKMET on that site too. Just click on the global model section on the right side.

GFDL moved about 10 miles west. Not much change. That is 12Z though.

Wobble here, wobble there.
Models are as much wobble watchers as most of us. I would say at this point Rita is still pretty much due W (outside of a wobble S, then a wobble back N) therefore she is pretty much on course at this time.
If I'm right, the NHC says she should start going just a little more WNW this evening. That's when the answer to the puzzle will start coming into play. If she starts heading a little more NW then WNW tonight, bad for SW LA and E TX. If she stays due W tonight, bad for S and C Tx.
