From looking at this map:

it's easy to see a high pressure system over Texas, pushing clouds northward in western New Mexico and pushing clouds southward in eastern Texas. Am I correct in assuming that this is the "high" that is being talked about that will move eastward? Am I correct in assuming that, once it moves eastward we'll see the clouds heading southward in eastern Texas move into western Louisiana?
Because I haven't seen that happen yet in this loop above and I'm wondering what people are talking about as far as the high pressure system already moving eastward.
How does one track the movement of the high eastward?
