Cat 4 is highly plausible considering the organization coming into the Gulf and crossing the warm eddy out in the middle, throw in the light shear and she could be a monster.

There seems to be a few hotspots in SSTs over the projected tracks so I'd say a strong Cat 4 but not quite Cat 5 like Katrina.

Cat 3 , I say. Too much dry air in mid and upper levels.

Category Five is not impossible (nothing is impossible); however, I do not expect it to reach Category Five status, at least for now. Category Three or Category Four is most likely.

I say strong Cat 3. With the way this season's going though, you never know. I love summer, but I'm ready for hurricane season to end.
