It will probably be a safe landing.

Yeah... but what if it's not??? Planes don't make emergency landings with messed up landing gear everyday...

STILL circling.

i would expect that when the nose gear touches down, if it doesn't straighten out (i don't think it will) it will blow out the tires and then fold back the nose gear and have the nose drop to the runway....the pilots will have total control over the direction and be able to bring it to a safe stop and everyone will evac down the slides. this SHOULD resolve safely :) and is really interesting to watch live. Prayers for all involved

I agree with Thunder. If a new poster posted this here, they'd be getting blasted.

Thank God. :D :D :D The pilots and Crew were awesome. :P :P :P :P :P The pilots landed perfectly. Right down the white line. The cabin crew moved passengers and baggage to the back of the aircraft to distribute the weight. I am so so Happy. Some good news for a change is nice.

That was the smoothest landing I ever saw...emergency or otherwise!

Was watching with Larry King asking the stupidest questions I ever heard.

To the fire spokesman "why are you here and what exactly was your job?"
????!!!!

Then he says to the Jet Blue first officer (of another plane) he was interviewing "so is anything going to happen now? fire or anything?"
as passengers are coming off..... !!!!

How did Larry king ever get to be a journalist??!!!

Here's a screenshot collage I made for those that missed it. Will be on the news tonight i'm sure. I added a cockpit shot the news didn't have of them landing on instruments. LOL! (Tossed that one in for a bit of WHEW ...sigh of relief humor)

GLAD THIS WORKED OUT WELL!!

Not by me they wouldn't. I have compassion and I disagree with your statement. People are glued on the Hurricane and they amy not be going to other forums. Maybe some posters here have family or friends involved??? Thats why it was posted here.

Yes this particularly poster and some others have been getting away with posting unecessary threads on these forums for awhile. That's why the board can't always stay up and running good. But because I don't give in to media hysteria, I get critizied for being not being more compassionate.
