RITAS WINDS???

#1 Postby audioslave8 » Wed Sep 21, 2005 9:03 pm

How can Rita's maximum winds be only 165 when shes got a 898mb pressure??? Is it possible that recon cant really get an actual true fix on her winds being she's so dangerous for the plane and crew members. We all know what Hugo about did to recon when it first went into the storm at its near peak. Any thoughts on this ???

As we saw with Katrina, it sometimes takes time for the winds in a hurricane to respond to dramatic pressure drops. I have seen it take 2-4 hours for the winds in a hurricane to respond to a pressure drop. Be patient.
