anyone with a Joe B. update?
Yesterday he had it going into Matagorda bay... Just wondering if he's shifted his track right as well.... and by how much....

I no like him but I agree with this Paragraph he wrote last night...
The worst case is the one I fear can still develop...the track in near Galveston and up the I-45 corridor. A storm of this magnitude would do almost incomprehensible damage to much of the Houston/Galveston area and the refineries nearby. It is a very real threat, and one that I am concerned will have to be faced. Such a track would mean wind gusts could reach over 175 on Galveston, 125 in Houston and over 100 mph all the way to the Golden Triangle. In a previous column, after Katrina, I pointed out that another storm into the energy complex of Louisiana would not be as damaging to the nation as the Texas storm scenario, for once the horse is beaten, how much more can one beat it again?
So here is the word on Rita. The path is still the same, the pressure is 20 mb lower and wind speed is 20 knots higher than discussed earlier
