Is Rita going through an ERC now?

Sorry if this belongs somewhere else, but it was mentioned in the recon thread with no real discussion. Is this what's currently happening?

Isn't this a terrible time for an ERC? Will Rita be coming out of it before landfall?

Shear is dropping too, I think the intensity forecasts have it wrong again. :(

How long does it normally take to go thru ERC??
And is the shear no longer affecting her?
Does this mean she could very well fire back up to Cat 5? :(

1. About 6-24 hours depending on storm. This one probably has another 6 hors before the new eye shows on IR.
2. Shear is decreasing quickly.
3. Possibly back to 175 mph again or stronger with the patch of extremely warm water to her north.
