Mark your children
The Acting Fema Director made a special request for everyone in Rita's path to put ID on their children. This is so unbelievable.

You know what.. that actually may be a good idea. with so many peeps what if somehow you and your child get seperated. I would of never thought of it before but maybe name and contact phone number to a family member with a fine point permenant marker on a forearm of a young child (or on back, shoulder blade) may be a good idea! Look how many little ones got lost during Katrina and quite a few were too young to talk well.
Many times when kids go on field trips they get necklaces with school/name of child in case they get lost. It makes sense. heck i've lost my kid in the mall and i am sure almost every parent has had a little one run off on them at one point or another. Kids are quick and can take off in 2 secs flat and then your in panic looking for them. This way parents/family members and the child can be reunited that much faster.

Pebbles I agree its a great idea but I'm just astounded that its necessary so soon after Katrina. This just seems like a nightmare to me. My poor mother is glued to the set and keeps asking me about October and what will it hold for us. Gray predicted three for October and one of them a major. Mom is afraid one of them has Tampa's name on it. I think I'm going to put on my Bucs Superbowl tape and get her mind off the storm for awhile.
