some kind of glitch i think... look at the date and time at the bottom... something isn't right there.

Try checking the "forecast points" box. For a minute there, I thought they had shifted the track to central LA and that it was even well east of that!!!

Well then, it went straight UP because the position is the same, it just "appears" to be from a higher perspective!
