Major beaurocratic B.S.

#1 Postby Stormsfury » Fri May 16, 2003 9:39 pm

A BS situation has arisen and this involves the uncaring SOB's who are called a manager and a supervisor at the James Island Post Office ... that's alright ... they'll be dealing with ligitation soon enough ... and their maker ... When I got back to work today, all they wanted to do was complain about because of my absence that they had to explain why they had to use penalty overtime ... big damn deal ... Giving a supervisor a heads up that I may have to leave at a moment's notice if my father's condition worsened ... his exact words, "You won't be leaving ..." I told them that when a situation like this involves my father ... the issue is not negotiable ... and if you want to pull up my record of sick leave/absences, fine ... doesn't bother me ...
The story is neverending, however, I WILL BE out of that station and back where I belong at my home station and/or into another station that is much closer to home (in Summerville). I will not be hassled or threatened with their beaurocracy/all about the numbers game ... I have already and actively am pursuing action about being pulled out of my home station (a bidded job) and am contesting this 100%...and I will not let this issue go until I'm out of the James Island P.O.

How sad for you Storms!! I just think it to be a darn shame that all people care about is money and do not care about YOU as a person in time of need. Your Father is definitely important and going through a very difficult time. Well know that you have my full support!!

Sunnyshine ... I could not believe what happened today. I nearly lost all my restraint today and was ready to unleash a thread of obscenities ... however, a calmer head prevailed until I stepped outside for a cigarette and to just get outside to unload and cool my anger down ...

But I remained temperate but still very angry ... and did so for most of the day ...

Michael, you know you are right in what you did and will do!!!! Keep going till they get it right!!! You will win, because you are right!! Remember we don't always get what we want but the Good Lord takes care of his own, especially when they are right!!!

We are continuing to pray for you, your father and the rest of your family daily!! Just one more thing to add to the prayer now.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to deal with such ignorance and lack of sympathy during a time when you can use all the friends and help you can receive! Some people just shouldn't be in management period.

SF... I truly hope you get stationed where you need to be! As for the management not understanding your situation and the need to be with your Dad, is just plain revolting!!! David is very very right about God taking care of his own, so hang in there! Oh and dont smoke too much ;)
