BREAKING NEWS: Water pouring over Ninth Ward Levee in NO

About two feet of water is in lower Ninth Ward after water flows over levee.

Flood waters are visible west of Industrial Canal

Friday, 8:50 a.m.

Water apparently has flooded back into part of New Orleans on the western side of the Industrial Canal. From the Interstate 10 high rise over the canal, water was visible at the New Orleans Cold Storage Facility and in other port facilities Friday morning. Water also had spilled onto Alvar Street and neighboring roads.

Hopefully they won't get too much water, but who knows at this time. At least the area that is flooding was already inundated before, so it can't really do much damage now.

Fox News is reporting two breeches at the London Ave. Canal and one at the Industrial Canal.
Not good for the city....

CNN reporting that the 9th wd breach is spilling 5-10 inches per minute..

Especially bad for NOLA because a lot of Americans are going to be wondering whether that's the right place to spend a hundred billion dollars to rebuild a city. They can't even start to rebuild until the levees are back to what they were originally and that will take until next summer at the earliest.

already 3 to 4 feet above normal...

Lake Ponchatrain will continue to increase in level...

2inches estimated by radar in the past 3hrs over NOLA, but there first large band of the day is right over them now.
