Don't flame me please, but can someone verify if the NHC track shifted ever so slightly East?

20 miles was the difference here w/ Ivan, and it made a huge difference

you will see it shift a little more to the east as the day goes by. La will get worse of it .

Texas may not get that much at all being on the W (weaker) side of the system. Looks like Rita will start building more on the east side as it approaches land....

amazing...

it's going to hit TEXAS! That's all we heard all week.

Yet it's LA that will feel most of this storm.

Well the NHC Cone always had Louisiana in it. If the residents didn't pay attention I blame the local officials and the local media.

the storm hasn't even hit yet. There is still the possibility it will wobble back towards Texas but it's looking more and more like Houston/Galveston will fair out okay...LA and points east to NOLA is a different story now.
