Next tropical depression which might hit land is where?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Next tropical depression which might hit land is where?

#1 Postby Aqua Teen Hunger Force » Fri Sep 23, 2005 2:31 pm

I heard there may be yet another tropical depression, stan, somewhere. But where exactly and will it hit land?

Let's focus on what is..not what might be and who says anything would hit land anyway?
you sound like that's what you want to happen.
I think people are suffering enough without having to worry about what might be next....

Well, there maybe some people not in Rita's path who want to be well informed. Nothing wrong with that...

-removed-? You idiot! I know nothing about the weather. Which is why I just want to be informed because I heard in some other thread that some other tropical depression might hit Florida. I created this thread to find out more information about it.

if you have nothing to contribute to my thead, please just go one about your business.

if i am not mistaken before there would be stan wouldn't there have to be a T named storm? And i do not recall hearing of another storm that could form in short notice but most have been quick homegrown systems this year so keep watching!

there are a few possible systems out there. there is one east of the bahamas that broke off of phillippe and one coming off of the coast of africa and also philippe is heading west now. so could be either one if they make it as far as the us coast

For a long, long, long time now the letter "S" has come before the letter "T" in the english language. If AccuWeather has changed this, please send me a link so I can update my spell checker.

ok Aqua Teen
your handle tells me you are young and maybe a little immature.
I have a right to make comments to your thread or anyone else's thread.
I simply do not agree with how and why you posted IMHO
I did not call you an idiot however and I expect you to trreat me with the same respect.
Let's keep this civil please.
If you want to learn more about weather and what might be happening, then go to the link I posted and read the analysis there.
It's very imformative and helpful.
In fact, I have those updates coming directly to my inbox so I can stay informed.

See, it is posts like the above, attacking the person asking a simple question that is ruining this board again... For your information, therte is the possiblity that Philippe who is now moving southwest and beginning to merge with another low... It is something to watch...

Now, last time I checked, storm2k is a fourm board and I have not seen anything anywhere that says that we have to talk about the storm at hand all the time... There are other things out there to watch and the person asked a serious question... It's funny how some of you people who have not been members here all that long no act like you run the board tellinjg people what to talk about... Un-real.. This is why the OTHER board was left behind...

If you are upset about all the hurricanes and don't want to think that something else is possible, and very soon, then stop reading the messages and stop reading the board.. The personal; attacks are uncalled for..

Wow, I can't believe how people jumped all over this poor poster. Sure makes me not want to ask questions. I was thinking the same thing, I had heard there was a tropical depression potentially forming and I was wondering where it might be, so I was glad when I saw this thread, then I saw msbee attacking the poor person, saying "you sound like you want it to happen." My goodness! Of course we don't want it to happen, we are very worried because of all the storms that have been home grown lately. Isn't this a place where people can learn and ask questions? I thought it was supposed to be ... not a place to castigate people who ask simple questions. If you re-read the original question, there was no -removed- invovled.

Sheesh ... it's simpler to go back to lurking ... that way no one attacks you.

Everybody calm down here. Tempers are flaring in this difficult time but there is no need to be rude. Please everyone be patient with each other and try to get along.

First. Do NOT call anyone here an idiot. That would be pretty idiotic on your part (yes, intentional). Second. If you know nothing about the weather, you can best inform yourself BEFORE you ask questions that might be answered very well, with much more complete answers, elsewhere. Such as, go find the thread you mentioned, and follow it, read it LEARN something, if you truly wish to do so.
Third. Msbee did contribute to your thread, you just didn't understand what she contributed. That is another aspect of learning.

Very, very nicely stated and 100% true. It's the Talkin' Tropics forum, not the Talkin' Rita forum.
