SO FAR NOT TOO BAD.....
Mark Sudduth is sitting in his tahoe just a little north of Port Arthur where the center will be near soon. He says so far not nearley as bad as Katrina Charley or Alex. He said he isnt getting those horrific wind gusts that Katrina and charley produced as well as the rainfall too. This storm looks to stall out so thats whats going to be the headliner on this one.

Yeah, well if he sits still, in another hour or two he'll get hit by an intense north eyewall. I bet the buggy'll be rockin then, if not blowing down the street.
Max winds are about 20nm in Rita -- still a ways away but likely to hit Port Arthur.
