Lol, I would go to this forum and it was down. And I would say out loud #!$&...

When it came back, I "napped" before Rita's landfall. I set the alarm for 230am, but didn't actually turn it on! Dumb me, I woke at 5am, so I missed everything good!

Haha, I had the same problem...and we were waiting for the storm to roll in. I would have prefered the power go out, than Storm2k.

So thanks Storm2k. I said it after Katrina and I mean it even more now...I don't know what I'd have done (or would do) without you.

Yeah we can't see any damage, but the neighbors have a few shingles gone...my parents are without power though...my dad wants me to bring him some coffee, I am about to head that way.

We got very lucky.

I said "oh no the site is down" . "Where did I put the link for the chatroom?" I hid it somewhere so I wouldn't lose it. You remember the saying "Remember the Alamo" try another saying "Remember the Chatroom for Storm2K". :)

After over an hour of trying to get to this site (about every five minutes) I got frustrated and just went "mmmm" and flicked off the computer with both hands. :)

Why didn't you guys just come to S2k Chat? Lots of people in the affected areas with live updates. Plenty of regular S2kers were there. And plenty of wobble and intensity dicussions. :D

btw - the Chat is on different servers than S2k board and NHCWX

have to admit I too am rather ravenous for Storm2K have been since Isabel really.

Love UKWW too - bit of a junkie there also.

Lost count of the number of posts I have made during the last 4 weeks - and hardly any - if any - on the UK weather! 8-)
