100 people trapped... per KATC TV in Lafayette, LA

100 people are trapped in Delcambre, LA.... this is a good ways from the projected landfall. For anyone that wants to flame and ask why they are still there.

I have family in Delcambre and they are in Lafayette with other family members. Delcambre got a huge surge through Vermillion Bay.

I do agree that after Katrina nothing like this should happen, but they weren't expecting what they got. This was reported on KATC TV3 in Lafayette, LA

I don't know how much flooding there was above Hwy. 14 but there was a Mandatory evacuation for those living south of Hwy. 14.

I think I heard on one of the stations that near 400 people had been rescued, however im not sure if they were from this area.
